M&A Companion Touch 8.9 inch mini-tablet
PC
The M&A Companion Touch mini-tablet PC is my first choice for my next computer. It seems to
be the best deal in the netbook category, not to mention the mini-tablet notebook category, which itself is mini,
especially compared to all the choices from netbook manufacturers. With few choices in the mini-tablet market,
this PC is clearly a winner.
My "First View" review will post soon.
(The following text is from the
M&A website).
Overview The Companion Touch provides a unique opportunity for students to stay

SONY P Series 8 inch 'Lifestyle
Companion' Notebook PC Turn-by-turn GPS
I had a chance to mess around with this notebook at
the Sony Style store in NYC.
Pros: GPS is a good idea. I have yet to test its
capabilities.
Cons: Viewing ezrider.info showed the fonts sized quite small due to
its resolution of 1600 x 768 and was too small to be easily viewed. Setting it to a lower resolution was no help
either.
No mouse pad, instead a pointing stick. It is difficult to use precisely and has a mind of its own,
as pointing sticks often do. In other words, the cursor would not stay put and will start moving on its own.
Priced
too high to compete as a Netbook.
